🎯 Theme & Concept

"Concerto of Blocks" Vanilla Music Festival — Players must use only vanilla game mechanics to create musical performances in-game. The challenge: how amazing can a performance be using Note Blocks + Redstone + built-in game sounds?

Why vanilla-only? RSerene is a pure public-benefit, pure vanilla survival server that doesn't modify gameplay. This festival pushes "what vanilla can achieve" to its limits.

The Three Pillars of Vanilla Music:

  1. Note Block: Crafted with planks + redstone dust. Right-click to raise pitch by a semitone. 25 pitches (F#3 → F#5, two octaves). Requires air above to produce sound. Sound travels up to 48 blocks.
Timbre depends on the block below: Wood → Bass, Sand/Gravel → Snare Drum, Glass → Click, Stone → Bass Drum, Gold Block → Bells, Clay → Flute, Packed Ice → Chimes, Wool → Guitar, Bone Block → Xylophone, Iron Block → Vibraphone, Soul Sand → Cow Bell, Pumpkin → Didgeridoo, Emerald Block → Square Wave, Hay Bale → Banjo, Glowstone → Electric Piano, Dirt/Air → Piano/Harp
  2. Redstone Performance: Use buttons, pressure plates, levers, redstone torches, repeaters (delay = rhythm) to control circuits, making multiple note blocks play in sequence to form melodies and chords
  3. Vanilla Sound Effects: The new Sulfur Cube in 26.2 absorbs different blocks and changes physical properties, which can serve as stage machinery or interactive installations — or you can choose other vanilla block sounds.
